day without daddy

Today was our first day with our new summer schedule. daddy-o leaving the house before Whitaker awakes and home well after he goes to bed. Of course, it's 8:30 and Whitaker is making it well known (from his crib) that he has no intention of falling asleep before daddy comes home, if he has anything to do with it.
Joel and I are so grateful that he found a full time job minutes from the regional campus where he is taking summer classes. Work is 8-5 then class from 7:30 to 10:30 (M-R). No complaints, but it will be yet another transition we'll have to deal with. Whitaker and Joel have become quite inseparable as of late.

Good news, Whitaker seemed to have done some catching up with his peers and no longer INSTANTLY gags upon attempting to swallow an already mostly dissolved puff (dissoluble cherrio of sorts). Anywho, baby steps. It was a big deal. I was starting to think Whitaker was going to end up on a liquid diet till he was two!
